We went out on the Blue Moon for the first time with Thomas on Friday and he really enjoyed it. Grandma came out too! Here are some pics of him in his new life jacket...which he wasnt very happy to have on. The next few pics are from Sunday when we went back out on the boat and tried him with a slightly larger life jacket. He seemed to like this one better...

Thomas takes on Carrots
....and it looks like carrots won! Thomas loved his first taste of smushed carrots yesterday. He had smushed bananas today and he was not as big a fan (just like his Mommy). But I think its because they were a little tangy-ier than the carrots. One thing is for sure...this boy loves shoving his fist in his mouth after he takes a biteful and rubbing it all over his face! What a mess! Anyone have any secrets how to get the reddish color out of his bibs?

Day at the Beach
Sheila took Grandma and Thomas to Sandy Point Beach near Annapolis on Thursday. Tommy loved the sun even though we kept him under an umbrella and a blanket so he wouldnt catch any rays. After the beach we stopped in Annapolis for lunch at Pusser's Landing and picked up a few things for our impending boat trip on Friday. What a nice day!
Daddy's Birthday
Needless to say after Thomas' trip to the pediatrician, he was pretty fussy for the rest of the day...and it was Erik's birthday. So after getting Thomas to calm down, Erik, Irene, and I decided it was safe enough to take Thomas out with us to dinner. We tried to go to Rays the Steaks but there was a 2hour wait so we ended up going to Outback instead. But we had to hold Tom for most of dinner and as a result it wasnt the most relaxed time. But we still had a good time so thats what matters most. HAPPY BIRTHDAY ERIK!!!

Thomas at Four Months
Today was Thomas's four month pediatrician check-up with Dr Atiyeh, and he is not fairing well with this second batch of shots. Poor little guy was in such great spirits when we got into the Docs office but oh boy did he scream when he gots his shots. It has to be one of the most awful things we do to children. At least they cant remember it when they are still this small.
As of today, here are Thomas's stats:
Weight: 18lbs 10z (95th percentile)
Height: 27 inches (95th percentile)
So he measures perfectly for his height weight combination meaning....HE IS NOT CHUBBY. he is perfect!
Hehehe.
The pediatrician said we can start increasing the amount of solids he is getting and we can start introducing him to all different sorts of things slowly!
After seeing Thomas' teeth and how well he is standing and rolling, Dr. Atiyeh joked if we were sure Thomas was only four months! Hahah.
On a little bit more somber note, Dr. Atiyeh still detected a slight heart murmur in Thomas's chest for which he recommended we take him to see a pediatric cardiologist next week. So we have that appt on Tuesday. Please keep your fingers crossed that it turns out to be nothing- he is so healthy otherwise and the doc did say quite alot of babies have this when they are small and then it goes away. We will keep you posted on what happens.
Here are some cute 4 month shots of Thomas.

Erik's new personalized toy
Thomas and Bandit in Yonkers
Watch as Mom gets Bandit all riled up and Thomas is watching her intently. He is really paying attention to the dogs now and giggles up a storm and Bandit and Mollys antics!
Another day at the office for Mr. Koons :)
Thomas wanted to show the world how he can hold his own bottle (almost). He just finished a nice little bowl of rice cereal too!

Rollin' rollin rollin, keep that Thomas rollin!
Thomas started rolling 2 weeks ago but I couldnt get the video from our new video camera to upload onto the computer correctly. So here is some footage of him from my regualr camera.
Thomas at 17weeks
Thomas is now rolling over from his back onto his tummy and will occasionally roll back over the other way onto his belly. He has his bottom right incisor and his top one is coming out. His hair is getting fairer. He still has blue eyes. He weighs a whopping 18lbs! He is 26 inches long. He is getting a teaspoonful of rice cereal everyday which he eats in his high chair still. He is doing pretty good with that. He laughing and chatting alot these days! Sometimes it sounds like he is trying to have a conversation with us! He has begun to notice the dogs alot more. He laughs when Bandit does her crazy rolling around thing and when Molly comes up to him and licks his toes. We tried him upstairs in his own crib and I think once our air conditioning is fixed he will be fine up there once we have the video monitor on him. Generally, he is happy as long as his belly is fully and his teeth arent too sore. Off to the ped next week for his 4month check up and shots. Hopefully that will go well!
Thomas and Company in Yonkers
Thomas' first day in Yonkers he got to go to the Bronx Zoo with Nanny and her school. He was all smiles for Nanny's fellow teachers and students. It was too hot that day for Mommy so she forgot to take any photos. But here are some photos of the rest of our trip with Nanny, Danda, and Auntie Anne at home and at Rosie's Bistro for dinner our last night.
Thomas' first tooth!
Sheila and Thomas went to NY to visit her Mom and Dad last week. While they were in NY, Thomas started to get fussy, drooly, and kept sticking his finger in his mouth. And low and behold, by Wednesday that boy had a tooth popped out! It was his lower right incisor that had popped out. By Thursday there was a corner of his upper right first incisor popping out too! Here is a photo of his tooth!
